I didn't have time to mess with it at the time but I also thought it was just a glow plug issue not k owing the flashing glow plug light along with check engine meant something other than a glow plug. I had the glow plug light start flashing along with the check engine light one morning. I know this Is an old thread but I wanted to post this in case it helps somebody like me.
